Plunketts Creek Volunteer Fire Department
Station 25

Plunketts Creek Thank You

My hat is off to the many volunteers who have come together to help in the aftermath of such devastation.

The fire department has been a busy hub for many locals, from searches, rescues, refuge, a quick meal or a place to lay your head.  I commend everyone who is organizing the chaos from the first rescue to the cleanup efforts.

Our firefighters have manned the station around the clock.  To the volunteer cooking staff and the Wallis Run United Methodist Church for staffing the phones around the clock, thank you!

Also to the many, many individuals and organizations coordinating relief supplies, you do not go overlooked, a deep thank you as well.

Our community was cut off from outside communication until Sunday when a temporary phone was set up and our road system is finally taking shape.  We were somewhat handicapped, but please be patient.

Helping each other is the quickest and best way to move forward.  God bless all the victims and volunteers and stay safe.
